Ccbc essex campus alert
The college provides timely security alerts to the college community regarding offenses that are reported to campus security authorities or local police, and which may represent a threat to students and employees, through Campus Alert, CCBC e-mail, voice mail, and text messaging.
The Department of Public Safety also monitors crime at off-campus facilities owned or controlled by the college.
Public Safety is staffed by full- and part-time uniformed security officers 24 hours a day.
Each full-time Public Safety officer is commissioned by the State of Maryland as a Special Police Officer and has full police powers (including powers of arrest) through the statutory and common law of Maryland.
The officers patrol CCBC campuses in marked cars, on bicycles, Segways, and on foot.
For the first time in their lives, many individuals now have access to insurance through The Affordable Care Act, which means more licensed health care providers are needed to treat them.
Physician assistants represent one of the fastest-growing professions in this country, and Towson University/CCBC-Essex offers one of the nation’s oldest programs.
